A dozen of the google vehicles are on the road and have so far completed more than 300 000 miles of tests. A range of traffic conditions have been covered without a single accident - something that shows that the project is a success and somehow considerations to have general public use them is underway.

This is an important milestone and brings the technology one step closer to every commuter. The team is now working on snow covered roadways tests that involves interpreting temporary construction signals and the ability to handle other tricky situations that may encounter.
