A team from university of Michigan in the US, developed a new free iphone application that  could help one conducts a self exam to detect potential skin cancer.

The objective of this app is pointed at making the already existing method of whole body photographic self diagnosis abit simpler and cheaper. One must take several shots of different body parts and store th photos on the app. The number of photos are about 23 noond shots in seven different poses.

Besides the full body survey, the other useful tool provided by the app guides through checking parts of the body exposed to sun, lesionn tracker for sunspots monitor and risk calculator to determine the chances for getting melanoma through questions.

The app has a password protection settings which would keep your infomation and images private when enabled.
