Time after time new operating systems(OS) are released and sometimes problems of PC's hardware, apps or software compartibility occur. When this happens unhappy users tend to blame the company producing software for not warning or mentioning such occurances prior to allow them upgrade their systems.

Well, here is how to check the compartibility of the new OS Windows 8 which is due out soon, with your PC hardware and some software.

Get the upgrade assistant from windows 8 download site and download it. Click on the blue download windows 8 release preview button. Then double click on the windows 8-release preview-upgrade Assistant .exe, to run the upgrade assistant.

It will immediately begin checking your PC for compartible apps and devices. Once it's done checking the upgrade assistant will display how many of your apps and devices are compartible and how many require upgrade.

To be able to make these steps easy to understand, a little help from Ed Rhee/CNET with his screen shots.
