Job summary:

•   The Terminal Engineer (TE) is responsible for the functional availability of all operating equipment and infrastructure within Oando’s terminals and plants under his/her jurisdiction.

•   In addition, he/she is responsible for systematically coordinating and maintaining regular service programmes for all terminal and plant equipment as well as lead the maintenance crews in the terminals to ensure hitch-free loading activities.

•   The Terminal Engineer also coordinates in-plant project activities and certifies that all completed contracts and jobs within the terminal or plant meet the required statutory and industry/Environmental Health and Safety standards.

Position and Person Specifications:

•   Good 1st degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering from a recognised University.

•   Minimum of Second Class Lower required with at least 5 years cognate experience within the Oil and Gas downstream industry.

•   Professional accreditation is an advantage

•   The position requires an individual with good oral, written and customer service skills and must have the ability to diagnose engineering problems of bulk oil loading equipment

•   In addition he/she must be able to communicate and interpret technical terms relevant to the oil industry

•   Prior engineering experience in the downstream sector will be an added advantage
