JOB SUMMARY
The primary function and responsibility of the Market Intelligence Officer is to provide market Information and trade physical commodities (PMS, AGO, DPK and Jet-A1)
Under the umbrella of market intelligence and analysis, the Market Intelligence Officer has the responsibility for researching, collating, organizing and analyzing all available information on the petroleum industry locally, regionally, and globally. To this end, the officer must work closely with all members of the Operations and Trading Teams to be actively informed of all Oando Supply and Trading activities – product sales, product purchases, operational constraints, and operations plans. The officer will also liaise with external sources on a regular basis to track down relevant industry information. He is to;
Collect and organize all relevant market information to identify challenges and opportunities for S&T by working closely with Operations and trading teams to stay abreast of operational activities.
Track daily, the petroleum import and export landscape at Nigerian ports (Lagos and Eastern Regional parts) to keep traders aware of competitor activities, potential congestions, etc. Produce analysis on potential stock impact for the regions.
Maintain a demand, supply and price variation matrix to analyse and monitor regional and global petroleum products prices and forecast trends.
Analysing market information and the creation of databases detailing Global trands in the supply and trading of products.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 2 – 3 Years’ trade experience
• First degree in any discipline from an accredited institution
• Cognate work experience, in a role that is related to Market Analysis
