Nigerians in Finland Honour Fashola, Rochas Okorocha, Remi Tinubu & Others

In commemoration of Nigeria’s 50th independence anniversary in Finland, Nigerians in Finland as part of the programmes lined up for the event, organised an independence anniversary banquet at Scandic Continental, Helsinki Finland on Saturday, 16th October, 2010 which featured awards of excellence to selected Nigerians and a Finn who have excelled in governance and their services to humanity.

The following are honoured in respect of their recognition of excellence:

•   His Excellency Babatunde Raji Fashola SAN ( Executive Governor of Lagos State)
•   Chief ( Mrs) Oluremi Tinubu OON Wife of former Lagos State Governor, President & Founder New Era Foundation
•   His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha OON is the President Of Nigerian Red Cross Society represented by Chief Cletus Amaraegbu Kelechi.
•   Mr Ola Oresanya, Managing Director of Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA)
•   Mr Veikko Kunnas, Ag Director of City of Helsinki Cultural Office
