The Joint Task Force (JTF) in Kano today claimed it has killed three suspected Boko Haram operatives and recovered two AK 47 rifles, two pistols and other weapons from the suspects car.
JTF's spokesman Lt Ikedichi Iweha told newsmen while parading their corpses in Bukanu Baracks late afternoon.
He said the militants drew the first blood when they opened fire on soldiers on getting to a checkpoint and that soldiers returned fire and in the process killing three occupants in a car used by the militants.
Lt. Iweha later stated that Nigerians should be security conscious during Easter holiday as reports indicates that the sect may likely strike big during the holiday season.
