      Men of the Joint Task Force in Kano engaged suspected Boko Haram militants in a gunfight early evening in the Saharada area in Kano. Residents said the militants rode to the Freedom Radio junction on motorcycles attacking soldiers in the area. Four people are reportedly dead from the attack.
