What is your opinion about the reduction of pump price of petrol from N140 to N97?

What impact will it make?

What are Nigerian's responses on social networking websites about the development? Please post.

President Goodluck Jonathan made a speech this morning to reduce (not remove subsidy) the pump price to N 97 from N 140. In this view, labour leaders have called for the suspension of street protests and rallies but said "Stay-at-home" strike continues... What NEXT?

Share your opinions and post the positions of Nigerians on social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter. Thank you.

Definitely, the situation is not welcomed as the effect of the pump price increase can not be reversed with the new price. The prices of commodities have gone up by 200% due to fuel subsidy removal. Now that new price has been set (N 97), the prices of commodities will not come down. I am quite sure of that. Or what do you think?

You are definitely right! As far as I am concerned, it makes no difference. Read some of the opinions of people about it:

***My opinion is dat i want d fuel 2 go back at normall price because all d things dat we buy he we be back.

***Nothin has been done, for me the strike should continue untill the FG reaches a reasonable amount that is affodable to the masses. This increase doesnot affect people that earn good money each month,,what about those that use comercial transport to evry where they go,how much do they make from their businesses?

***Let FG consider d poor

***Finally, Finally PMS N97 per litre.

***Labour dis is unfair of u,when next b/4 taking a decision think it well.I'm disappointed in u. (4rm N65 to N97) Labour tell me by march ending 31st Jonathan will increase again. U'll see, have it in mind.

***They ve disappoint me,wit the trust i ve on them.

At last, Nigerians were upgraded from using Nokia E65 to Nokia N97. What a promotion! In my opinion, it is better for the price to remain N 141 rather than N97. So soon, government will revisit the fuel subsidy removal issue... Believe!
