The Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State, Nigeria invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Undergraduate Degree Programmes of the University for the 2011/2012 Academic Session.
Intending students are those that have applied and written the 2011/2012 JAMB Examination and have obtained the prescribed National Minimum cut-off by JAMB. Candidates who chose this University as First and/or Second choice and those who did not choose the University before are expected to purchase the Admission Form.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• The minimum entry requirements for admission into Western Delta University are GCE O/Level, SSCE, NECO or NABTEB credit level passes in at least five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics and three (3) other relevant subjects obtained at not more than two sittings.
• Candidates are also to note that there are other requirements that may be specific to a College and/or a Department.
DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
• Direct entry candidates are expected to possess a good Diploma (with minimum of lower credit), NCE (with minimum of merit), HND from recognized institutions OR 2 Advanced Level GCE passes in relevant subjects.
• Intermediate passes in ICAN, ACCA, ICMA and CIBN examinations are accepted for Accounting and Banking and Finance.
• Direct Entry candidates are expected to have obtained Direct Entry Admission Forms from JAMB.
METHOD OF APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION
Application forms for admission are obtainable at the Western Delta University, Oghara, on payment of a non-refundable fee of N6,500.00 in the University Bursary. Admission forms can also be downloaded from the University website and payment can be made at any branch of the following Banks nationwide. All completed application forms must be accompanied with photocopies of either the University receipts or the Bank tellers.
